Denise Van Sickel, Owner
Denise started Lawrence Pet Friends in 2005 after a bad day at the office. She knew it was time to do something she loved and to be around animals. She stumbled upon this little thing called pet sitting and immediately saw a vision for Lawrence Pet Friends. Ten years later Lawrence Pet Friends continues to be the best pet sitting service in town! Denise's business management and customer service background, combined with her love of and compassion for animals have been the foundation for the success of Larence Pet Friends. We know our clients have other options for their pet care needs and we strive every day to always be the best. Denise currently lives in Florida and has launched a branch of Florida Pet Friends accompanied by Luna, her french bull dog. Cosmo the bull terrier, the inspiration behind the Lawrence Pet Friends logo passed away in September 2013 but she will always be the mascot of Lawrence Pet Friends. Denise is actively involved in every aspect of LPF and is always available if a client has a question.
Ashley, Office Manager
Ashley is a long time, very dedicated team member – she's been with LPF since 2009. Ashley is our office manager and is also one of our busiest dog walkers. Ashley meets with new clients and trains all the new team members of LPF.
When Ashley is not spending time with her Golden Retriever, Boone, or her LPF furry friends, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, especially her four year old niece, Sienna. Ashley also enjoys taking dance classes at the Kansas Ballet Academy in Topeka. Ashley graduated from KU with a degree in Film and Media and works freelance in the field. The animals in Lawrence LOVE Ashley!
